We had an April first Wednesday hike in the drizzle, but no joke ….. the 5 of us had a good time! We changed our original destination of East Applegate Ridge to something closer to home as the weather forecast was not terribly favorable for a beautiful Spring hike. We hiked 8.7 miles up the Eastview Trail and a thank you to Scott for that suggestion. We encountered only one other hiker and no bikes whizzing down Missing Link.
The most colorful things on the trail were - us - in our bright and colorful rain gear. Although to be fair to nature we did see many purple snow queens, yellow violets and beautiful yellow blooming Oregon grape. There was no uphill after lunch as we didn’t have lunch, but were rewarded for our efforts at the end with chocolate!
